NAIVA CENY / AWARDS

At the NAIVA BRATISLAVA exhibition, the GRAND PRIX, STORY AWARD, PUBLIC PRIX and GALLERY PRIX are awarded.

The author and creator of all the statues of MRS. NAIVA is Dáša Čurajová from Slovakia.

GRAND PRIX

  • The organizer nominates an independent jury, mainly from visual art experts, teachers and artists. The selection of the jury is solely within the competence of the organizer.
  • The jury will chose one of the accepted works to the "GRAND PRIX".
  • The GRAND PRIX will be hand it in to the winner on the opening ceremony.
  • The winner of the "GRAND PRIX" has the right, after the mutual agreement with the organizer, to create or provide the painting (in naive style) to the next year's exhibition of NAIVA BRATISLAVA (in the form of posters, invitations, catalogs and any other promotion of the exhibition) as headline motive. The painting must meet all conditions for the participation in the exhibition. When exhibition is ended the organizer will return this painting, which served as the motive of the exhibition, back to the artist.
  • The criteria for the selection of painting to the GRAND PRIX of the jury are especially authenticity, originality, expression of the work, the resistance to the visual commerciality and superficiality.
  • The organizer does not interfere to the decision of the jury. The jury's decision is independent and based on the subjective preferences. It is not possible to request a review of the decision or appeal against such decision.

STORY AWARD

  • The organizer will chose one of the accepted works to the "PRIX for STORY".
  • The winner has the right to exhibit free of charge one of his paintings (naive style and consultation with organizer is required) in the next year´s exihibition of NAIVA BRATISLAVA. The painting must meet all conditions for the participation in the exhibition.
  • The criteria for the selection of painting to the PRIX for STORYare especially the content of the story in the artwork, the idea and expression of the artwork. It is not possible to appeal against the decision of the organizer.

PUBLIC PRIX

  • During the online exhibition, the public will vote for the "PUBLIC PRIX".
  • The online visitor can give the voice to the picture he/she like from the works that will be exhibited. The voting will take place online on the organizer´s website and on the organizer´s website on Facebook (Pezinok ART 40 and NAIVA Bratislava).
  • All votes will be counted at the last day of the online exhibition. The painting which will get the most votes will be awarded with the "PUBLIC PRIX".
  • The winner of the "PUBLIC PRIX" has the rightto exhibit free of charge one of his paintings (naive style and consultation with organizer is required) in the next year´s exihibition of NAIVA BRATISLAVA. The painting must meet all conditions for the participation in the exhibition.

GALLERY PRIX

  • The organizer cooperates with the ATELIER HLAVINA Gallery, which organizes exhibitions, promotes artists and sells artworks in its online gallery www.atelierhlavina.sk and in the permanent stone gallery at the address: Novomeského 1340, Bánovce nad Bebravou. Slovakia (hereinafter also "Gallery").
  • The Gallery will choose one author at its discretion to whom it will award the "GALLERY PRIX".
  • The author who wins the "GALLERY PRIX" will have the right to use free of charge the Gallery registration service. The Gallery registration service means creating a presentation of the artist in the online Gallery in the ARTISTS section on the website www.atelierhlavina.sk/umelci. The presentation means the creation of a mini-gallery of the artist whit the artistic biography, the list of exhibitions, or the author's own text will be presented. The photo of the award-winning author and photos of four of his/her artworks, which can be offered for sale, will also be published in the mini-gallery. The sale of artworks through the ATELIER HLAVINA Gallery will subsequently be possible on the basis of a special contract between the award-winning author and the Gallery, in which a commission fee will also be agreed.
  • The winner of the "GALLERY PRIX" has the right to refuse, or not to use the free of charge The Gallery registration service and/or to sell their artworks through the ATELIER HLAVINA Gallery.
  • The selection criteria for awarding the "GALLERY PRIX" are fully within the competence of the Gallery.It is not possible to appeal against the decision of the Gallery.
